About IBAC XI POLBAN 2026
The International Business Administration Competition (IBAC), initiated by the Forum of Heads of Business Administration Departments across Indonesia, will be held for the 11th time in 2026 and hosted by POLBAN through its Department of Business Administration. This event is crucial for student development because it is not merely a competition but also a platform for learning, innovating, and preparing to face the increasingly complex challenges of the professional world.
With POLBAN serving as the host, it is hoped that the event will contribute to the development of the increasingly complex field of business administration and provide students from polytechnics across Indonesia with the experience of competing and collaborating, as well as the business insights necessary to become competent professionals.

Objectives of the IBAC XI 2026 Event
- To strengthen institutional ties and professional networks among study programs within the Department of Business Administration at national-level vocational colleges.
- Promoting a healthy competitive culture as a means of improving the quality of vocational education graduates, particularly in the field of business administration.

Participant Requirements
- Current students at a State Polytechnic, Vocational School, or Foreign University (registered with PDDIKTI or equivalent) who have not yet graduated by the end of the registration period, as evidenced by a valid student ID card.
- Each institution may send a maximum of two participants for each competition category.
- Participants who have previously won first, second, or third place in the same category in a previous competition may not enter that category again.
- Each participant is allowed to enter only one competition category.

Business Plan Competition
Developing a technology- and sustainability-based business plan
The Business Plan Competition, part of the 2026 International Business Administration Competition (IBAC) at the Bandung State Polytechnic, is a business planning competition for vocational college students at the national and Southeast Asian levels. This competition provides a platform for students to develop innovative business ideas based on technology and digital transformation that are focused on global competitiveness and sustainability. Participants are required to prepare a business plan that includes a business concept, marketing strategy, financial projections (Cash Flow, Income Statement, Balance Sheet), as well as Break-Even Point (BEP) and Return on Investment (ROI)/Return on Equity (ROE) analyses. Proposals accompanied by a working prototype will be given priority.
Business Website Design Competition
Designing and building a business website based on a raffle theme
The Business Website Design Competition is an individual competition that requires participants to design and build an interactive website aligned with the business theme specified at the time of the competition. Participants are expected to create a website that effectively conveys business information, is visually appealing, and supports innovative and sustainable business solutions in line with the IBAC 2026 vision. This competition evaluates participants’ creativity and their ability to utilize web-based technology as a platform for global business communication.
Business Presentation Competition
Innovative Business Presentation Strategies for Global Competitiveness
The Business Presentation Competition is an individual competition that tests students’ ability to present business ideas in a professional, persuasive, and data-driven manner. This competition emphasizes business communication, strategic analysis, and the ability to convince an audience in a global context focused on innovation and sustainability, while encouraging the use of vocational innovations, digital technology, and sustainable strategies. In the preliminary round, participants act as business consultants, providing recommendations based on a business case brief. In the finals, participants present as company marketing representatives before a panel of judges.

Meeting Plan Competition
Developing a comprehensive plan for corporate meetings
The Meeting Planning Competition is an individual competition that simulates the role of professional administrative staff in designing and managing corporate meetings. Participants are tasked with developing a comprehensive meeting plan, ranging from correspondence management and agenda coordination to the design of a creative, effective, and digitally-driven meeting format. This competition emphasizes planning skills, administrative coordination, and innovation in organizing modern meetings, including hybrid meeting concepts that support organizational efficiency and operational sustainability. Participants take on the role of professional administrative staff to design a comprehensive corporate meeting plan—including invitation letters, agendas, attendance lists, checklists, and hybrid meeting designs.
Secretarial Competition
Role-playing as a professional secretary in global business
The Secretarial Competition is a comprehensive competition that simulates the professional role of a modern secretary in a global business environment. The competition assesses participants’ competencies in document management, business communication, office administration, professional interviews, and presentations in English. It emphasizes the secretary’s role as a strategic information manager who supports organizational efficiency and sustainable business practices.

The Filing Competition is an individual competition that tests participants’ skills in managing records professionally, systematically, and accurately. This competition simulates records management practices in a modern organizational setting, ranging from document registration and filing to storage, as well as the process of quickly and accurately retrieving records. The competition emphasizes the importance of records management as the foundation of efficient and sustainable business administration.

The Business Data Processing Competition is a computer-based individual competition that tests participants’ ability to process, analyze, and present business data using spreadsheets. This competition emphasizes data literacy, accuracy, and analytics-based decision-making, while also encouraging the use of digital technology to enhance business competitiveness in an efficient and sustainable manner. It tests participants’ ability to process, analyze, and present business data using spreadsheets—including relationships between tables with Power Pivot, logical/lookup/statistical functions, and the interpretation of KPIs for decision-making.

Typing Speed Competition
Speed, accuracy, and professional typing techniques
The Typing Speed Competition is an individual competition that tests speed, accuracy, and professional typing techniques as core competencies in modern administration. This competition aims to assess participants’ ability to type Indonesian and English texts quickly and accurately—a critical skill in a digital workplace. This competition emphasizes work efficiency, precision, and technical discipline that support business administrative productivity in the era of digital transformation. It assesses participants’ ability to type Indonesian and English texts quickly and accurately using the 10-finger method (blind system)—a critical skill in a digital workplace.

Hosting formal and semi-formal events professionally
The Master of Ceremony Competition is an individual competition that tests participants’ ability to professionally host formal and semi-formal events. This competition emphasizes public speaking skills, language proficiency, professional ethics, and the ability to create an effective and sophisticated atmosphere for events in a global business context. In line with the IBAC 2026 theme, this competition encourages vocational students to become professional communicators capable of representing their organizations in national and international forums. Championship System and Awards
Each competition category features a Grand Prize and Additional Categories.
The Overall Champion is determined by the total number of medals won across all categories.
First Place — Gold
Awarded to the participant with the highest score in each competition category
5 Poin
Second Place — Silver
Awarded to the participant with the second-highest score in each competition category
Third Place — Bronze
Awarded to the third-highest scorer in each competition category
🏆 Overall Champion
The Overall Champion is determined based on total medal count earned by each team in all competition categories (1st place = 5 points, 2nd place = 3 points, 3rd place = 1 point). The team with the highest total score is declared the Overall Champion.
In the event of a tie, the ranking is determined sequentially based on the number of medals Gold comes first, then Silverand then Bronze. If the scores are still tied, compare the total number of medals, including those won in additional categories.
The institution that wins the Overall Championship will receive a rotating trophy, a certificate, and a cash prize.

No. Each participant may enter only one competition category, and each institution may send a maximum of two participants per category.
The format varies by category—some preliminary rounds are held online (Secretarial, Filing, Business Data Processing, Meeting Planning, Typing Speed) and some are hybrid (Business Planning, Web Design). All final rounds will be held in person at the Bandung State Polytechnic from August 11–14, 2026.
Based on the total medal points across all categories: First Place = 5 points, Second Place = 3 points, Third Place = 1 point. The team with the highest score is declared the Overall Champion; in the event of a tie, the winner is determined by the number of gold medals, followed by silver, and then bronze.
Generally, these cases are not processed further, unless the participant provides evidence of a technical issue through valid documentation that has been verified by the organizing committee. The specific rules vary by category—please refer to the official handbook.
